Happy 2nd Anniversary, Dominus Est!
May I take this opportunity to give an update on what we have been up to the past two years...
Aside from the website, we have been developing our other platforms: Facebook, Instagram, and we are now just beginning to also develop our Youtube channel.
We have been especially busy with the shows and webinars for mission and evangelization that we have produced the past two years:
For the Year of St Joseph
A Father's Heart: Weekly Reflections on St. Joseph
This is a weekly 30-minute online show with reflections on each of the titles in the Litany of St. Joseph. It airs every Wednesday on the Facebook page of Dominus Est and partner pages. It may also be viewed on the Youtube channel of Dominus Est and StJoseph.PH.
We were tapped to produce this by the CBCP Episcopal Commission on the Laity chaired by Bishop Broderick Pabillo and the Committee on St Joseph that includes the Sangguniang Laiko, the National Shrine of St Joseph - Mandaue, Ambassador Howard Dee, and mariologist Fr. Yulito Ignacio, among others.
Thank you, Bishop Pabillo, and the Committee on St. Joseph, for trusting us to produce this!
Dominus Est also developed a web page for CBCP Laity and the Committee on St Joseph for the Year of St Joseph. This includes prayers, videos, articles on St Joseph.
For the Year of Missio Ad Gentes
Franciscus
This is a monthly webinar to inspire all to mission through the words and wisdom of Pope Francis wherein every month we discuss an encyclical or apostolic exhortation of Pope Francis.
This is a project of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Mission produced by Dominus Est for the Year of Missio Ad Gentes.
Thank you Bishop Socrates Mesiona, Msgr. Esteban 'Bong' Lo and the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Mission for trusting us to produce this!
G!
For the first three months of 2021, it was the objective of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Mission to inspire the youth to mission. Dominus Est conceptualized the webinar series G! (millennialspeak for 'game!') hosted by the youth, targeted to the youth. This was a project of CBCP Mission in cooperation with the CBCP Episcopal Commission on the Youth in collaboration with Dominus Est.
For 500 Years of Christianity
Spotlight
Spotlight was conceptualized for the 500 Years of Christianity celebrations. We put the 'spotlight' on the the various dioceses and places celebrating 500 Years of Christianity.
The episodes include Spotlight on Homonhon, where explore Ferdinand Magellan first landed; Spotlight on Limasawa, where the first Easter Mass was held; Spotlight on Cebu, where the first baptism took place; Spotlight on Manila; Spotlight on Rome, where the Filipino community organized the first Papal Mass; and Spotlight on the Vatican for the Papal Mass for 500 Years of Christianity.
Thank you to Fr. Kali Pietre Llamado of the Manila Cathedral for encouraging us to create this.
In Depth
In Depth is a talk show that seeks to discuss chosen topics 'in depth' with authorities on the subject. The first season's topic was chosen by Fr Jason Laguerta: joining in on the celebrations for 500 Years of Christianity, we featured the first missions to the Philippines. We had conversations with the provincial superiors of the Augustinians, Dominicans, Franciscans, Recollects and the Jesuits.

In Depth

Sunday Masses presided by Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle
We are honored to be the partner of the Pontificio Collegio Filippino for crossposting the Sunday Holy Masses of Cardinal Tagle to various Facebook pages in the Philippines and around the world.
All of these have been produced or executed solely by volunteers and on zero budget, fueled solely by our enthusiasm and joy in serving the Lord.
Thank you so much to all those who have made these productions possible: not only the volunteers but especially the guests, who also gave their time and shared their wisdom for sheer love of Christ and Church; our priest advisers; our social media partners, who have been generous with lending their pages for a greater audience; and all of you viewers and followers who keep us inspired to fulfill our mission everyday!
May we continue to create content for you, and hopefully continue to inspire more to see Christ in every day, every way, and everything!
