Updated: Apr 21, 2021

by Margaux Salcedo

The CBCP Episcopal Commission on Laity along with other groups devoted to St Joseph would like to invite everyone to join in a 33-day consecration to St Joseph.

Today, March 30, led by Bishop Broderick Pabillo, Chairman of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Laity, which is in charge of the Year of St Joseph, we begin a 33-day Consecration to St Joseph which will culminate on May 1, Feast of St Joseph the Worker.

What does it mean to be consecrated to St Joseph?

Through this consecration, you entrust yourself into St Joseph's paternal care so that he can help you acquire his virtues and become holy.

Total consecration to St. Joseph means you make a formal act of filial entrustment to your St Joseph so that he can take care of your spiritual well-being and lead you to God.

The person who consecrates himself to St. Joseph wants to be as close to St Joseph as a spiritual father in order to resemble him in virtue and holiness.
